This is part 14 of my Super Smash Bros. Melee Lets Play for the Nintendo Gamecube, played on Dolphin Emulator in 1080p 60FPS! In this part, we play as the Main Character of the Starfox Video Game Series, Fox McCloud. There is nothing to really say about this character. He is the best and has to most options out of any character in the game.\r

Fox has overall been buffed despite him being high tier in the original SSB. Although his Air Speed was among the greatest, it is now one of the lowest in Melee. He has more KO options, different recovery options (not to mention that Fire Fox now travels at a farther distance). His other recovery option is in his new side special which is, Fox Illusion. He has a new Forward Smash (roundhouse kick) that is stronger than his previous Fsmash, although it covers less range. His blaster no longer produces hitstun (has been transferred to Falco), but is useful for camping, and racking up damage from afar (very good against Floaty characters). Fox also has a new Forward Aerial where 5 hits come out (31% all together, but impossible to connect all 5, as he has a high falling speed; much more useful on Falco). His up aerial is much more powerful in knockback and 1% damage increase from 15% to 16%. However, it is much harder to sweetspot, as it can easy to SDI out of.\r

Even though Fox has improved, his high falling speed returning in this smash series causes him trouble, as everyone has been given a new up throw & down throw and he can be chain-grabbed and combod easily, including Zero to death (specifically Final Destination, as there are no platforms to tech).\r

Regardless of those problems, Fox is a threat to the whole cast in terms of competitive play.\r
